Blog Attempt #4

Forbearance? Depend upon it.

Posted by muslimahbloggerer on June 11, 2008

All Praise and Gratitude [with the utmost love and respect] are due to Allah for the simplicity and beauty of Islam. To say “bismillah” is the easiest and quickest way to put barakah in something. And so naturally, I begin in the Name of Allah.

Islam has a very comprehensive definition of worship. It isn’t limited to the ritualistic. Anything which is considered pleasing to God in light of the Qur’an (the Arabic word of God verbatim) and the Sunnah (the sayings, actions, recommendations, traditions, etc. of His Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him) can be an act of worship.

In fact, even the most mundane and necessary of actions like brushing one’s teeth to eating one’s breakfast can be regarded an act of worship and therefore a good deed provided the intention for performing these acts is to earn the Pleasure of Allah.

And so I pray God accepts and rewards me for intiating and maintaining this blog as my intention hereinafter is for it stand as a means of closeness to Him.

My hope one hope is for it to be beneficial.
